Tom Richeson

An outstanding trumpet player/educator, Tom has toured with Pharoah Sanders, Donald Brown, Jerry Coker, Frank Sinatra, Lou Rawls, the Jackson Five, Diana Ross, Charlie Spivak, and the Tommy Dorsey Orhestra. Since coming to Arkansas as Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, he has organized and directed the Little Rock Jazz Machine, which has played at the last three Governor's Balls. He has produced five albums featuring the Little Rock Jazz Machine, Gene Rush, Art Porter, Sr., Charles Thomas, Bill Scarlett, himself, and Tom Richeson's 'Goose Bumps.' Richeson was the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation Jazz Person of the Year in 1993. Currently still serving as Coordinator of Jazz Studies at UALR, he is in wide demand as a performer and band leader.
