James Leary
Bassist from Little Rock, Arkansas, former student of the late Art Porter, Sr., and graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. James is an active professional living in Los Angeles. He has performed with Nancy Wilson, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Liza Minelli, Eddie Harris, Buddy Rich, Sonny Rollins, Nat Adderly, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, The Boston Pops w/ John Williams, the Count Basie Orchestra, and his own James Leary Orchestra. He has recorded with Stan Getz, Count Basie, Earl 'Fatha' Hines, and numerous other great jazz artists. He also has several recordings under his own name on the Vital label. Leary is presently touring nationally with the musical "Five Guys Named Moe."
