Dave Rogers

Dave Rogers A native of Mena, Arkansas, Rogers graduated from Arkansas Tech University and cites Gene Witherspoon as a mentor. In addition to being a consummate drummer and percussionist, he is an outstanding composer, arranger, sound engineer and educator.

He has performed with a great variety of well known artists, including: Pharoah Sanders, Randy and Eliane Elias-Brecker, Mose Allison, Emily Remler, Jon Abercrombie, Jack DeJohnette, Airto Moreira, Jon Hendricks, Larry Coryell, Herb Ellis, Mark Murphy, Sammy Davis, Jr., Robert Goulet, Lawrence Luckinbill, Lucie Arnez, and others. He has been a member of the Art Porter Trio, Charles Thomas Trio, Artistry, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Little Rock Jazz Machine, the Arkansas Jazz & Heritage Foundation band. Rogers has directed two musical productions for New Stage Theater in Jackson, Mississippi, and has been drummer with the John Puckett Trio and percussionist with the Little Rock Wind Symphony.
