On Saturday Jan. 26, Mr. Levy will conduct a jazz workshop at NWACC (community college) in Rogers, Arkansas, from 1pm to 5pm. The Saturday workshop fee is $45 per person.
Adam Levy's music lives in the zone where the jazz guitar tradition intersects with modern approaches and his own imagination. His harmonic vocabulary is sophisticated, drawing on lush colors inspired by composer/arranger Duke Ellington and pianist Bill Evans; yet there is a down-home blues quality present at all times, as can also be heard in his playing on Tracy Chapman's Grammy-winning song "Give Me One Reason."
Call (501) 464-8615 for more information. To learn more about his current activities, visit www.adamlevy.com.

Don't miss this one. Great post-bop jazz as perfomed by the best of the best!
In the tradition of Miles Davis, John Colrane & Herbie Hancock, David Berkman
is regarded as one of the top-notch performers and composers of modern jazz
composition, an exponent of the music's future direction.
As a pianist and composer, his music is accessible --it swings and features
strong chordal improvisation, melodies and rhythm. However, this music is
also unpredictable, adventurous and full of unusual twists and turns.
Tune into KUAF, 91.3 FM this Friday night at 10:00 PM for "Shades of Jazz"
for previews of David's music.
Berkman brings with him an all-star band:
Saxophonist Dick Oates,
Bassist Darryl Hall,
Drummer Gerald Cleaver.
