November 2001
  • Nov 1 - The "Barrio Band" 4-6 pm on Thursday, Nov 1, Fayetteville, UA Union (4th floor opposite the theatre). The Barrio Band is a Latin Jazz Band that plays some salsa, mambo,and other Latin rhythms. After this concert flautist Raphael Rodriguez will perform in the Stella Boyle Smith Fine Arts concert hall at 8 pm with Mirian Suzuki (piano). They will play pieces by Ibert, Shubert, Prokofiev, Teleman & Piazzolla.


  • Nov 2 - The eclectic ensemble Barbados 7-11pm, Fayetteville, at Georgia's Gyro's on West Street.


  • Nov 14 - Doctor Six Jazz Quartet 7-10pm, Fayetteville, at the Common Grounds on Dickson Street. With Jack Martin, Nathan McLeod. Ryan Fourt, and Wes Bowlin.


  • Nov 24 - Barbados 7-11pm at Georgia's Gyro's in Fayetteville


  • Nov 27 - Doctor Six 7-10pm, at Cool Waters Restaraunt on North College St in Fayetteville.


  • Every Wednesday night - Arsaga's on Greg Street and Township in Fayetteville, starting at 8:00. Features different jazz talent every week. Rhythm Section is Ryan Fourt and Chris Strom You can hear the horns of Dave Embree, Nathan McLeod, Michael Allen and others. Also the vocals of Rhoda Deon. Clare Starr, Jack Martin, Al Gibson, and Larry Cangellosi have been known to make appearances as well.


  • Nov 16 - Legendary Jazz Pianist MULGREW MILLER 7:30pm, a solo piano concert at the Jazz Lab in Tahlaquah, Oklahoma. Contact Robert Ginsburg in Fayetteville if you're interested in a ride (501-521-1255 or najsjazz@aol.com). Tickets are $13. Call 918-456-5511-4603 for ticket info.
