  • Tuesday, April 4 - 6:00PM to 8:00 PM (Fayetteville) The Claudia Burson Trio with Jim Greeson on bass and Steve Wilkes on drums. This show is sponsored by the Ozark Brewing Company on Dickson Street in Fayetteville. Join Claudia and her trio in an intemate setting with special guest, Ralph Nesson reading original poetry.   • Thursday, April 6 - 7:30 PM (Fayetteville) in Baum Walker Hall, Walton Arts Center. Tommy Flanagan concert has been cancelled. Call (501) 442-5600 for more information.

  • Saturday, April 7 - 8:00 p.m. (Tahlequah, OK) The Northeastern State University College of Arts and Letters and the NSU Jazz Lab present Frank Mantooth, renowned jazz pianist/composer. with the NSU Jazz Small Group, directed by Will Campbell. ($7.00) Call (918) 458-2323 or (918) 456-5511 ext. 4554. This concert is free to NSU students.

  • Saturday, April 8 - 8:00 p.m. (Tahlequah, OK) Frank Mantooth will be playing many of his arrangements/compositions with the NSU Jazz Band I, also directed by Will Campbell. ($3.00) Seating is limited so make reservations early by calling the Arts and Letters Central Ticket Office at (918) 458-2323 or (918) 456-5511 ext. 4554. This concert is free to NSU students.
June 2000
  • Friday, June 2 - (Fayetteville) Dennis Mitcheltree Quartet plus House Rhythm Section (tickets are $10 to the public, $8 to NAJS members and students). [press release]

  • Friday, June 3 - (Little Rock) Dennis Mitcheltree Quartet Tickets are $15 to the public, $10 to AJHF members. [press release]

  • Friday, June 23 - (Fayetteville) Trombonist Sim Flora plus House Rhythm and guest soloists. Sim Flora is the Chairman of the Department of Music Theory at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. He is an active trombone soloist and jazz educator appearing throughout the United States as well as Australia, Korea, China and Japan. Recently Sim served on the faculty of the International Trombone Symposium in Brisbane, Australia. (ticket are $8 to the public, $6 to NAJS members and students) [press release]
