October 2002
  • October 7 - Saxophonist Herman Green on saxophone, 8PM, $5 cover. Herman is a native of Memphis TN. He's is one of those Memphis Jazz cats like pianist Charles Thomas who didn't leave home for Chicago or New York, at least not permanently. He has played saxophone with Phineas Newborn Jr., Calvin Newborn, Miles Davis, Lionel Hampton, John Coltrane, and Cannonball Adderly, to name a few. Joining Herman on Monday's performance are Buck Powell on piano, Joe Vick on bass, and Dave Rogers on Drums.

  • Oct 14 - Nan Maureen. with Jeff Long on piano, Joe Vick on bass, and Ted Seibs on drums. 8 PM, $5 cover.

  • October 21 - From New York, Guitarist Mark Elf with Joe Vick on bass, and Dave Rogers on drums. 8 PM, Tickets $10 available from the Afterthought or Capitol Keyboards, (501) 228-9999.

  • Oct 28 - Monday Jazz Project Jam Session with House Trio featuring Dan Sieckman on guitar, Joe Vick on bass and Dave Rogers at the drums. Jam players signup starting at 7:45 p.m. in After thought Foyer, 8 PM, $3 cover, $1 Jammers.

November 2002
  • Nov 4 - UCA Dixieland Ensemble. 8 PM, $5 cover

  • Nov 11 - to be announced - (Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame Concert and Awards postponed till December)

  • Nov 18 - Ann Collins on piano. Joe Vick on bass, and Dave Rogers at the drums. 8 PM, $5 cover

  • Nov 25 - Monday Jazz Project Jam Session with House Trio. Jam players signup starting at 7:45 p.m. in After thought Foyer, 8 PM, $3 cover, $1 Jammers.

December 2002
  • Dec 23 - CANCELLED! Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame Concert and Awards at the Afterthought (663-1196) or (Capitol Keyboard 228-9999). Postponed till later date, to be announced.
