Chris Mosley, Guitarist

Celebrating 10 years of Monday Jazz at the Afterthought

January 3, 8 pm, Admission $5
(501) 663-1196

Chris Mosley started playing guitar at age 11 in Austin, TX where he was heavily influenced by the improvisation-colored, blues-rock climate of the area left behind by Stevie Ray Vaughan and other local guitarists. By the age of 14, he had completed a very amateur recording project that ended up with seven original tunes full of improvisation. His attention soon turned towards jazz and the wide range of improvisational possibilities and skills the music contained. At the age of 17, he began studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston where he has studied with many great teachers including Mick Goodrick, and Jon Damian. Upon the completion of the spring 2005 semester, Chris is planning on moving to Portland, OR where he will live, play and teach.

Mosley will be performing Monday January 3, 2005, 8 PM, on the Monday Jazz Project at the AfterThought with Joe Vick on bass and Dave Rogers at the drums Admission is $5.
