Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame Week Press Releases
The Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation looks forward to Bob Dorough and
Roseanna Vitro arriving next week for the 1998 Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame
Weekend Friday June 19th thru Monday June 22nd, 1998. Bob Dorough will
appear at a Jazz for Kids Concert, the Jazz Hall of Fame Dinner and Concert
(dinner/awards/concert featuring Hall of Fame inductees and others), and
the Monday Jazz Project (two full length shows). Mr. Dorough may be
contacted in Mount Bethel, PA at (717) 897-6296 for interviews (please do
not publish this phone number). Roseanna Vitro, inducted this year into
the Hall of Fame, will be honored at Saturday night's ceremony as well.

Press Release for Jazz For Kids:
'Jazz for Kids' June 19th, 1pm, Little Rock Main Library.
Friday June 19, 1 pm, the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation, and B98 FM
will present a live 'Jazz for Kids' concert featuring pianist/composer Bob
Dorough, musical director of ABC TV's Schoolhouse Rock. Joe Vick will
accompany on bass, and Craig O'Neill will be the Master of Ceremonies.
Location: in the Auditorium of the Little Rock Main Public Library, 100
Rock Street by the River Market.
Free tickets are available from B98 FM at (501) 221-0100 (KIDS ONLY PLEASE!
Parents can tag along). Unclaimed tickets will be available at the door.
Mr. Dorough will be interviewed on Craig's show Friday morning June 19th.
AJHF thanks the Little Rock Public Library for giving 'Jazz for Kids' a
home for this summer jazz concert. We understand that the use of the
library's meeting facilities does not necessarily reflect endorsement of
the beliefs, views, policies, or affiliations of the user by the library

Press Release for the 1998 Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame:
Saturday June 20, 7pm, The Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation presents the
1998 Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame Dinner and Concert. We will be honoring
this year's inductees into the Hall of Fame, including Bob Dorough (ABC
TV's ShoolHouse Rock musical director), John Stubblefield (saxophonist),
Roseanna Vitro (Concord Jazz and Telarc recording artist), and the late Art
Porter, Jr. (Verve Recording artist and LR native son).
With special appearances by Bob Dorough, Roseanna Vitro, The Art Porter
Singers, and guest saxophonist Herman Green from Memphis. Dinner will be
catered by La Scala Italian Restaurant.
Location: Capitol Keyboard Recital Hall, 13401 Chenal Parkway, Little

Press Release for the Monday Jazz Project at the AfterThought.
Monday June 22nd, 8 and 10pm, ABC TV's Schoolhouse Rock musical director
and Bluenote recording artist Bob Dorough will be performing two shows at
the AfterThought, 2721 Kavanaugh, Little Rock.
